Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea Testing & Treatment

We offer Chlamydia/Gonorrhea tests in our pharmacy for both male and female. Please call us or visit our pharmacy to find out more.

Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea are both very common bacterial infections that are sexually transmitted that can be very easily treated with antibiotics. Often these infections can be present with no symptoms and if left untreated they can cause potential long term problems including affecting fertility.

Chlamydia is particularly common in young people aged under 25.

It can take up to 2 weeks after sexual contact for a test to pick up these infections therefore it may be necessary to repeat the tests to cover any window periods. We advise to screen regularly, particularly after any partner changes.

Getting a C-Card doesn’t mean that you have to have sex – and just because someone has a C-Card doesn’t mean that they are having sex either! It is about getting clued up on safer sex and how to look after yourself for when you are ready – whenever that is.
